Me and my wife stayed in this hotel in August for 5 days on our way to Singapore. The hotel exterior has a lovely colonial style architecture, the situation of the hotel is very clean compare to sukhumvit, the staff is very friendly and helpfull. Inside of the hotel is very nice and different, arty kind of feel. We paid £85 for 4 nights. We be happy to go back to this hotel, the only downside is the breakfast is not nice. But for us is not a problem we just had coffe and toast. There is no lift.

Loved the location and the hotel style. Small and intimate and so quiet being set back off the road. Would happily recommend this hotel to my mid range clients. You get such great value for money. The rooms are large and airy and delightful. I wish they had spent a little more money on the carpeting in the public areas. Their pictures on their website make it look like they have a cocktail bar, they dont. Lots of good value restaurants nearby and really close to lots of things being on Silom Road. Would go back without hesitation.

After travelling for 3 months, we really enjoyed this boutique hotel. The superkingsize bed was so so comfortable and we had the best sleep we had for ages. We have stayed here before so we chose it again because it is quiet and slightly 'chabby chic' in decor which is refreshing after all the other typical hotel furnishings. We couldnt get wifi in our room so had to use the one in the lobby- a small problem. Also, it is not close to the large shopping malls so not ideally located if you want to shop till you drop. However the train was only 10 mins walk away ( and a bit longer coming back in a downpour!). The staff are friendly. Only comment would be the carpet up the stairs is worn and it needs a fresh coat of paint up the stairs- otherwise, clean and very comfortable. Excellent value too

nice and carming little hotel (1 floor only) in center BKK - 5 mn from the river. Colonial design and located in one of many BKK centers. Staff is very very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and via AGODA @ 30 EUR / night. No pool and breakfast indeed is not the best you may have. Better go to the StarBuck coffee facing the hotel )) This hotel is simple but clean and very decent. If you are looking for a transit 1 - 2 nights place in center BKK at a good deal, it is really THE place to go for this price. For visiting BKK, take Touk Touk to the taxi river 5 mn from the hotel.

My mother and I went to spend 4 nights in July 2010, the Heritage Baan Silom price was very good, the location was just where we needed to be, the room and services were first class. Thanks to all the staff who made my mother and I felt comfortable and welcomed. Eventhough I must agree with others that the breakfast wasnt the best but it wasnt that bad either. I would definitely recommend Heritage Baan Silom to friends and relatives and will go back to stay there again on my next trip to Bangkok Thailand. Thanks to all the staff .

Nestled in the back of a square off the busy Siam Road , this Heritage Hotel is quiet, the lobby is ueber-chic, the staff is sooo friendly, the rooms with the view to the square in the OLD building are just grand, they have a balcony and a bathroom. Attention this is really minimalistic decor with a touch of shabby chic, the bathroom has see through glass to the bedroom, so it s not everyone s taste - but it s my home away from home when in Bangkok

My husband & I stayed here for 2 nights in Bangkok before we headed for Pattaya. It is a small boutique hotel. No lift, Low rise buiding (as British style). Breakfast has very Limited Choice. The service wasn't so good. We booked and paid for lemonade deluxe room with balcony, but was not given one. We were given a room at the corner, Turquise room with no balcony and No view. Good environment in the hotel area. about 5 min drive to the riverside and Mandarin Oriental hotel that we had our tea time on Sunday afternoon :). As my husband prefer a low rise building hotel, we will definitely come back to stay here again. Not a bad choice, even it is pricey. Internet is FREE!

"This is a great hotel for its price"

I was reluctant to stay at this hotel at first after reading the reviews in TripAdvisor, but I booked anyway because of the bargain price. I found this hotel to be extremely good value. We pay about $48 a night with one night free foir four-night stay. It's very good value for the price we paid. Good size room, reasonable location (away from the busy part of Silom), within walking distance to BTS, lots of shops in arounds the hotels, a lovely colonial quarter (courtyard) in front of the hotel which makes this hotel different from others in Silom. Agree that breakfast leave a lot to desire for. We ended up didn't have any breakie at the hotel, just grab some coffee and breakie from the food stalls around the hotel or in the shopping centre across the hotel. I just think that we should all be fair in giving comments. Remember, we get what we pay for, can't expect 5-star facilities when we only pay 3-star.

Overall a charming hotel in great location giving excellent value for money. Try and get a room in the main block, 1st floor, front ,which are quieter than the rooms in the B buidling. The rooms are smallish but clean and nicely decorated, if you are really fussy the beds are very hard ! The best thing about this hotel is its location, in a lovely little peaceful square .Close by , you have, the river, good shops, massages, hairdresser, taxis etc. ( You can even stroll to the famous PatPong in the eveing if you wanted ?) A little Haven in a bustling city. The down side is that the Breakfast is FILTHY , absolutely disgraceful, so try and opt for a better deal and get breakfast from the delicious street vendors outside or good old Starbucks. Also beware of the Conciege who is seriously useless , gave us completely duff information on everything, and was only interested in sending you to places where he is on a commission, you couldn't help liking him though..... but dont take his advise on a single thing i warn you..... The staff tried to be quite helpful, but could only speak Thai and didn't seem to know what was going on, seemed very young and inexperienced, however we would definitely stay here again. (Even though they wouldn't give us a late check out despite only a few rooms being taken - but hey ho !)

The Heritage Baan Silom was a nice "boutique style hotel" . Its location was the best thing about staying at this hotel. It was pretty well centrally located and had many nice restaurants near and a night market down the street. The hotel is three stories high with no elevator. We were situated on the third floor and it was quite difficult treking up the stairs with all our luggage for a journey aroung thailand , japan and cambodia. The hotel staff were friendly but if you speak english they dont understand what you might be asking for but , they tried there best at accomdating our needs with the language barrier in all. They missed sending us a wake up call two different mornings.....luckily we were not used to the time change yet and were already wake, but it could have cost others troubles. The hotel was small and quaint . the rooms were smaller than average. Nicely decorated in the boutique style if you are into boutique. There were large bathrooms with showers only .....in the bathroom also included a view from the hotel room looking into the shower. I have seen this phenomenon at alot of asian hotels we stayed. As far as the breakfast is concerned I beieve it had adequate food to most european standards. They would cook you eggs and bacon on request from menu or a traditional asian breakfast that was either chicken fried rice , or seafood fried rice with slices of tomato. On the buffet they had multiple juices, breads, jelly, assortment of fruit and cheeses as well as cereals. Hot tea and coffee. This is better than most European breakfast by far. All and all I would say this hotel was ok....but not one I would revisit....simply because there were many other hotels such as holiday in and the state tower for a little more money you get top notch service in the same area....but if your looking for a cheap alternative without the bells and whistles this is your place.

Stayed for 1 night as we were in transit to Krabi The hotel is situated on Silom Road about 20 minute walk from Patpong so away from the freak shows. The Baan Silom shopping area is nice to look at - the architecture was unusual for Bangkok as all low rise - just a shame it was all starbucks, Baskin Robbins Ice cream etc. but at least it wasn't indian tailors and the like that you get further up. The rooms were nice and clean but the bathrooms were a little strange - very dark due to black paint and tiles! There was the seemingly usual window from the shower looking into the bedroom! I got locked in the bathroom of our first room and eventually they moved us saying it was an upgrade but it was the same style room so no idea what the upgrade was!! It didn't matter to us as we were only there for the one night. Suffice it to say we bought the cheapest room and you certainly get what you pay for! One last thing, the breakfast isn't as bad as the other reviews - I've had much worse in a UK B&B!

"So Beautiful, You'd Want To Stay All Day"

I recently stayed with my partner at the Heritage Baan Silom and I must say it was a delightful experience. The hotel is a beautiful three storey boutique hotel in a nice compound of shops and restaurants done in neo-colonial style. The location is just right. It's not exactly in the middle of the Silom action which is good because you still get a sense of calm at night. But if you do want to be where the action is, you're either just a fifteen-minute walk or 5-minute cab ride away. The hotel is also a good ten-minute walk to the BTS station. On our first day, we stayed at a Superior Room. The room was lovely with a nice black and white design. A glass window on the bathroom wall allows one to see the shower from the bed. There's free Broadband internet on the room which was a nice touch. On the second day, we moved to the much bigger Deluxe Room (Turquoise) which was just about four rooms away from our original room. And just when we thought the first room was already beautiful, the second room blew us away. It was huge. You could actually have a dance showdown in the middle of the room. And the interiors were very tastefully done. If the first room had a glass window on the bathroom wall, this room's bathroom wall was all glass. Inside, there's a luxurious-looking detached bath tub that just begged to be used. Nice touches like the classic bell alarm clock, the fancy chandelier and the understated painting by the bed added to the room's charm. The ambiance was so nice, we just wanted to stay in the room all day. Service was very good. All the staff members were willing to please. The only nitpick I could give was perhaps the breakfast. It left much to be desired. But other than that, it was a very memorable stay. And the best thing was that it didn't cost an arm and a leg! Will definitely go back to this charming hotel.

I booked this on ratestogo.com for about $55 its a lovely hotel and the staff are pleasant and the room was lovely, however breakfast was disappointing, no vegetarian options AT ALL not even ONE, and many days they did not have most items on menu so I would opt for no breakfast. Location wise its a long way off from all the major temple sites, not walking distance for sure a taxi ride or get the sky train to closer to the centre. Definitely good value though for the price, room had a nice bed, internet access (although it was not that reliable), a safe, and you felt good here. I would definitely go here again, but opt out of breakfast which is way overpriced and was not good at all.

I stayed here in August/Sept 2010, I stayed in a room overlooking the small park. Room 213. For just over Thb1000 per night, it exceeded my expectations, the room was spacious, for me a 4 star feel, great bathroom. Urban chic design, room had balcony, flat screen tv, mini bar reasonably priced, free wifi, huge bed. Plenty of western types resturants on your doorstep, but I prefer Thai street food. Taxi may have some trouble finding but its behind the Starbucks and 40m before the Holiday Inn. As the hotel in split in 2 with the B building just across from reception, Privacy is great if you know what I mean. This is not a cheap feeling hotel like some in Khoa san road. Great chic furniture. Staff were amazing to me and respected my privacy when the nice looking lady came looking for and went to reception, they let her call me and stayed out the way so has not to make me blush (hahaaha) when I went across to fetch her.

Great location in the heart of Silom, close to good restaraunts and shopping. Just down the street from Holiday Inn Silom. There is a nice garden area that is nicely lit in the evenings and is great to sit and relax. The rooms are large and completely white, giving a fresh, clean appearance. It is nice and quiet in the evenings, and the curtains almost black out the room so the daylight doesn't come through in the mornings. Soft sheets and a comfy bed gave me a great sleep, and the quiet airconditioner maintained the cool tempurature. The only downfall was the limited breakfast selection. I was impressed with the facilities, and enjoyed my stay. Definitely will stay here again.

Stay at ths hotel twice as it's cheap without compromising it's room quality n staff service. Love the high ceiling n look of the hotel as its rennovated from an historical building. Good location as it's close to centre on Silom and yet bit remote from that bustling streets - yet taxi is required to get to the skytrain particularly in summer time. Staff are attentive. Wifi provided to all guests for free - a big plus! Suggest to prebook earlier as rooms run out fast.

many ways to access to this hotel such as sky train, taxi and by walk.... there are also many interesting spots in nearby area within walking distance. It is easy to get to the heart of Bangkok from this site....this hotel is located at a very good location.... I enjoyed walking up and down the street in this neighbor.

Liked — good bed and easy access to center of bkk
Disliked — breakfast was not enough for guests who show up after 9:30 am..... looked like there was not enough staffs to service at breakfast cornor. My neighbors were too loud when i was asleep at 2 am.
Tips/Secrets — should have a sign in every room to ask all guests to keep noise down...and quiet at night and morning!

This is my favorite hotel in Bangkok out of the half dozen I have stayed in recently. Our room had vaulted ceilings and beautiful furnishings. It had airconditioning and a ceiling fan, which was really nice as it is not too hot here at the moment. The best part was our beautiful balcony with a view of the garden square decked out in white twinkly lights. It is a great base to explore the city with plenty of nice restaurants and shops in walking distance. I know I will stay here again!

Liked — Great location, wonderful decor, resonable price and a balcony
Disliked — Towels were a bit tattered, only two cable channels in English and breakfast was just ok.

The Heritage Baan Silom Hotel Bangkok is a wonderful boutique hotel. It's definitely not 5 star, but I love the chic lobby and the exterior of the building. Internet and breakfast are both inclusive. The location is just great, lots of restaurants and shopping places near by. The skytrain is just 50 meters away. It's a really great choice if you are on a tight budget.

Liked — Great location, free internet, good value for money
Disliked — Breakfast not so great, but you can always go to Starbucks, which is right outside

the hotel is quite strategic place if you want to visit bangkok. it is accessible in almost all places you want to go. the room is quite cozy and quiet even it is located in business district of the city. they must improve their menus in the breakfast and have a faster service on their reception but overall, it is worth staying in their unique place.

Liked — accessible to most places you wanted to go.
Disliked — no lift and few choices of food in their breakfast.
